How To Start A Bootcamp, How To Make It Profitable…
This is a *huge* topic among trainers. I get asked about this a lot. Through my membership site (Personal Trainer Toolbox) and from random trainers who visit my fitness sites.
- If you’ve got current clients, you’ve got a head start – you can tap into your current client base.
- If you’re not already training your clients with a mix of metabolic conditioning workouts and bodyweight training – give them a sample. (I do a lot of this type of training in my fitness bootcamps.)
- Niche it down. Focus your camp on a certain segment. House moms, youth athletes, busy professionals… You can get even more targeted by focusing in on areas or neighborhoods.
- Ask one of your “raving fans” if they’d like to start a bootcamp in their neighborhood. If “yes” you’re in a great position.
- Start with the “grassroots” marketing. Word of mouth, flyers, and email to friends. Create a video to send around virally. Post it on YouTube. Make it a promo to your bootcamp and make it drive traffic to your bootcamp landing page or site.
- Craigslist marketing… this is good stuff. I show how to get top ranking(s) in Goog for searched for keywords regarding YOUR bootcamp. You’ll get a steady stream of clients this way. I recently wrote about this inside PTT.
- Create more buzz when you are running the camps! Bring a friend day works well. Get them to start talking about it with ALL their friends and co – workers. How? More video my friends, more video.
- Create workout systems. Make it fun, but make it intense. I don’t do rah-rah easy bootcamps. Functional exercise performed at a high intensity and constantly varied.
Well, those are the basic steps. Now create this in 2-3 different locations and expand. Want more? Let’s talk about it at PersonalTrainerToolbox.com.
