Putting on events does several things:

  1. Builds community
  2. Shows you have passion
  3. Shows you’re organized
  4. Media opportunity
  5. Reason for more marketing
  6. Builds credibility

Now, an event can one of several things.  It can be a party/celebration for something or someone. It can even be based around fundraising workout. Documenting the event (through pictures and video) is instant content equity. You’ve basically got stuff to show people for weeks, months, and years to come.

We’ll be using these pics on our site for social proof to new visitors on our page. You can do the same – just document the events you put on with pictures and video!

Doodles…

I created these “doodles” on a screenshot I took that voted CrossFit as the Best Fitness Program in Birmingham (woot woot!).

Now it’s *really* grabbing attention. Of course I’m piggybacking off something that’s already there and bringing attention to it (plus the details of MY CrossFit facility).

Creating “doodles” isn’t hard. I use the free software GIMP to create them. You can see doodles on my site at PersonalTrainerToolbox.com and in the next couple of days, I’m going to create a video for the members there on exactly how to create them.
